Field Robot Event 2015

University of Siegen wins Field Robot Event in Slovenia

For the first time the International Field Robot Event took place in Slovenia this year. The faculty of agriculture of the University of Maribor made a good job of organizing the competition and made it a memorable experience for robot tinkerer from all parts of Europe. The CLAAS Foundation was among the sponsors in this edition of the competition.


Furthermore, the CLAAS Foundation provided some financial support to the student team of Harper Adams University College.

Autonomous navigation, get around obstacles and finding of objects were parts of the challenges for the robots and their inventors. The Team of Harper Adams Team achieved the fourth place in the overall ranking. The students from the Technical University of Denmark were placed third, while the second rank was given to the Czech University of Sciences. The first place was awarded to the University of Siegen in Germany.
