Researcher case for small tinkerer

To encourage talents in an early stadium is one of the aims of the CLAAS foundation. With a project in cooperation with the private institution of learning “Science-Lab” the foundation wants to awaken the enthusiasm for natural science already in the kindergarten and the primary schools. Altogether 23 primary schools and kindergarten from Harsewinkel and Beelen will have the chance to take part in the project.

For this the institutions will be equipped with researcher cases in the first step, which shall inspire the young scientist for technique. “Learning by Doing” is the device. The renowned institution of learning “Science-Lab” will then train the teachers and educators in how to handle the researcher cases. After the training the knowledge of the teachers and educators will be passed on to the children. The training courses will take place in the rooms of the CLAAS Technoparc.

“With the content of the cases the children for example are able to build an electrical circuitry by themselves or to attach a dynamo” explained Dr. Vera Romberg-Forkert, Mechanical Engineer and project manager of “Science-Lab” the playful learning effect for the children from Harsewinkel und Beelen. Last year a similar project has taken place in Bad Saulgau last year – with great success.
